CK Building Analytics Corp is an Alberta-based building science firm committed to improving the energy performance and durability of the built environment. We combine advanced diagnostic technology, thermal simulation, and energy monitoring to give building owners and construction professionals accurate, actionable information about how their buildings actually perform.
What We Do
We specialize in three interconnected services: infrared inspection of building envelopes using certified thermography and drone technology, thermal simulation of envelope assemblies for design review and code compliance, and energy monitoring system design and installation for measurement and verification of building performance.
These services are most powerful when used together. An infrared inspection identifies where a building is losing heat. A thermal simulation explains why — quantifying the contribution of thermal bridges, material choices, and assembly details. An energy monitoring system measures the result — verifying that improvements actually reduce energy consumption over time.
Our Approach
We believe that better data leads to better buildings. Too often, decisions about building envelopes and energy systems are made without reliable performance information — leading to costly mistakes, underperforming retrofits, and buildings that consume far more energy than they should. Our work is grounded in measurement, simulation, and analysis rather than assumptions.
Space heating accounts for over 63% of energy consumption in the average Canadian home. In Alberta’s climate, a thermally efficient building envelope is not a luxury — it is a fundamental requirement for affordable, comfortable, and durable buildings. We help our clients understand and improve envelope performance with rigour and precision.
Location
We are based in Alberta, Canada, and serve clients across Western Canada. Remote simulation and reporting services are available nationally.
