Thermal Envelope Studio

Our parametric U-value tool, running in your browser. Set up a masonry wall — brick, air gap, insulation, CMU — choose the standoff bracket geometry and wall-tie type, including thermally-broken ties, and read the assembly U-value, R-value, RSI, and heat flux with a 95% confidence band. Predictions are made by surrogate models trained on 3D finite-element simulations, so each one takes under a second instead of hours.

  • Intermediate-floor and clearwall assemblies
  • Standoff bracket and wall-tie thermal-break options
  • Save, restore, and export scenarios as JSON
  • Model comparison and provenance panel, so you can see how the predictions were validated

Deliverables

What you get

01

Full design-space exploration

Every combination of material, thickness, and detail that matters — not one run per option.

02

Hygrothermal models

Heat and moisture behaviour of the assembly under Alberta conditions, so durability is designed in.

03

Hotbox test validation

Physical testing of the chosen assembly under controlled conditions to confirm the modelled performance.

Who it's for

Prove it before you build it

Architects and engineers get empirical data on as-built thermal performance and a way to validate details before they are specified. Product manufacturers and designers validate new assemblies before they ship: parametric simulation explores the full design space, and hotbox testing proves the winner.
